The Beginning

  • Random Thoughts: To find love, you must first know what you're looking for.

Well, today could be the beginning of something wonderful . It is still too early to tell, but I am definitely getting good vibes  I started talking to this guy saturday night...didn't really think much of it, he seemed nice enough, and is pretty good looking. Has a sense of humor (which is a big plus) and we have several things in common. He is in the Marines, and only in Dallas until monday.

So, me and my daughters met him and his son for lunch on sunday. Now, this is the first time, that my daughters have ever met someone that I might have intentions of dating...and I wasn't really sure how that was going to go...We got there, and he was waiting for us. I introduced to him to the girls, and it all seemed pretty cool. His son is 8yo, and very sweet. I think the girls and him hit it off pretty good. So, they went off to play, and we sat and talked, just getting to know each other really, he was very easy to get along with and talk to, so that was cool. I liked everything that he had to say, for the most part. The only problem I think will be the distance, since he is stationed in Cali, and about to go back to Iraq. The girls said they liked him though (which was a first, and I pretty much judge what I do by them) Anyway, we were there a couple of hours, and then he had to meet his family for dinner, but said he wanted to meet again later that evening. I thought that was cool, because he was really fun to be around and I wanted to get to know him more.

So, later he calls and I meet him again, just me and him. When I first met him, I can't say for sure, but I think there was that chemistry spark, but I do know for sure there was chemistry when we met again later.  It's all too early to tell, and I really want to take things slow, but I like where I see this heading and he seems to feel the same way. Unfortunately, he is going back to Iraq in Sept. and will be gone for at least 7 mos.  and I guess that will be the test of how things will go. Good thing though  he is coming back in 3 weeks, so we will get to spend more time together.   I am looking forward to that.

I will keep you informed of how things go...maybe this coule be the Romeo I have been looking for

Take care,

Juliette
